I’ve had this like 200 times 🤣 I think I always assume I’ve already checked in this beer and never do. Brings back many memories but it’s always good no matter how complicated things have become in the craft beer scene.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) Lynch
It is still pretty good but to be honest, not half as exciting as it used to be.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Lynch
So glad I picked a few 4s of this before they discontinued them in 2019. Still have a few more left. This is a beer that always hit the spot! I’m pretty sure the will bring it back to create a marketing hype!

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Lynch
This sat on the cellar for a year and a half but no harm at all. If anything, I think the booze mellowed down. Big fan of this one! I will try to get a bigger stash of them this year if they release it again.

A couple of days ago. Forgot to check in. Really enjoyed this beer. It’s no Monkish, Tree House or the like, but maybe the best IPA I’ve had from Founders.

Not my favorite KBS variant. I was expecting a little bit more sweetness to balance the nuttiness of the hazelnut flavor (is it artificial or natural?). It drinks more like an Irish stout with thinnish body and dry to the palate, which is weird for 12%abv

Is it good? Absolutely delicious!!! Is it interesting? Nah’! Typical Founders flavor profile for BA beers. Typical coffee notes and bourbon character. Different label. If you like that, like myself, you’ll dig this. Just don’t expect surprises.

Peach purée probably is 0.01% because I can’t notice any at all. The salt is noticeable as a hint of smokiness. Other than that it’s an ordinary beer.

Not as bad as I remember it. I had this on tap back in 2015 or 2016. It tasted like grape cough medicine. Now the raspberry flavor tastes more natural and the chocolate notes are more pronounced. Still it’s an acquired taste that I’ve yet not acquired 😂

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Lynch
Oh ho ho! This is really good! First time I’m trying this variant. Drinks like a glorious chocolate fudge cake! Now that I know the CBS is gone, this will be the beer to look out for me from Founders!

I don’t know, to me it seems Founders in not even a trace of what it used to be. Not a bad beer by any means, but tastes uncharacteristically unbalanced and simply unimpressive. Only thing I look forward to nowadays is their CBS.

This was just OK. Can’t care less about elderberries in beer.
