Quite nicely balanced coconut and quite a rich dessert stout flavour. Still not hugely on the coconut train but quite liked this one.

Purchase error. Had I spotted the grapefruit I wouldn’t have gone for this. More like a grapefruit IPA than anything DIPA-esque. Brewdog reminiscent. Way off Gamma’s more enticing options.

Festive extravagance that paid off. Absolutely glorious boozy dark stuff. Smooth. Not that heavy or even tasting of much in the base. But the barrel-booziness is up there with some of the De Moersleutel Barcode stuff. Mainly rum. A little bourbon. Great.

Dark. And strong. Pretty boozy. Quite slick/thin. For me, doesn’t deliver a lot for the 13% hit. Good for a festive feast of boozy gluttony but there are better options.

Funny one. Thick. Sort of musty with some definite hoppy pithiness. Almost piney.

Very soft. Think the soft sweetness actually makes it quite a good option. No one is calling this sickly despite it tasting of toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Very easy drinking but given some of the Gamma stouts I’ve enjoyed in the past, expected more.

Very much in the sticky marmalade TIPA mould. Will be too sweet for some, too sticky for others. But I remain hugely partial to these sorts of beers. Happy to see an old favourite brewery roll out a good one.

I think Belma is a new hop on me. Early signs are good. Dry but tasty. Would happily have a few of these. Good start to Elliefest.

On the sharper side but very drinkable. Probably expected something a bit more exciting from an amazing collaboration but I’d definitely have again.

An old favourite brewery I haven’t tried for a while. The new labels are snazzy but this beer is a bit average. Smooth and softly hoppy. Will hope from more from the others.

Finally the stash delivers. Sweet, heavily slick, dark goodness. Can’t say I get much of the nuts supposedly in it but whatever it is is delicious and smooth. Glad I stopped shunning buying this one.

Light and bright despite a little haze. Impressively refreshing for sub 5%. Could sink a few of these.

Think Rory M. had this right. Very zippy citrus start feels OTT but does sort of work. Bright light citrusy ale. Good refresher on a long run.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Rye Whiskey Mc
Glorious. Sweetly dangerously glorious. Sweet fudge more than barrel-aged monster. But lovely light rye and dark sweetness slipped down dangerously quickly. Festive beer highlight so far.

Do You Think This Is A Fucking Game? Mc
Good beer. Thought I’d like the hop mix even more. Sort of dank pine with sweet fruitiness. Pine is a bit dry for me to love it but I’d have it again.

This a horrendously bad idea. A smooth thick dank and juicy, incredibly drinkable TIPA. Delicious. Vanishing dangerously quickly for 10%. I’d have this again. Philip C. was right, exactly the sort of thing I like.

Beer Geek Vanilla Maple Shake Mc
It’s very sweet and quite a dominant flavour but I’m very partial to maple syrup in stouts. The heavy syrupy sweetness sits nicely with the dark stout. Lovely win.

Nicely balanced citrusy orange IPA. Slightly synthetically sweet orange but in a good way. Touch of hoppy dryness to the finish. At 4.6% a “session ale” that could be safely sessioned which is relatively rare. Strong name/can combo.
