Saint Lamvinus G

Whoa! This was interesting! A beer fermented together with Merlot grapes. It's got an earthy, almost mushroom like taste mixed with a delicious tartness. And how about that average.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio G

Beer tasting #1. Exclusive lambic with a dry, tart body. Could be served as an apertif any day. Bordering on a delicious white vinegar like sourness. Ecquisite!

French Toast Bastard G

Been very curious about this one and Founders delivers. A nice scotch ale base, fortified by maple and cinnamon/vanilla sweet syrup and then finished by just the perfect balanced amount of roasty coffee acridness. Absolutely delightful.

Blanche De Mikkeller G

Nothing fancy, just good wheat beer. Paired well with a yummy Bookmaker toast.

Ice Cold Pilsner G

Nothing fancy here. Just a big cold pilsner to kick of a weekend of beer festival debauchery.

Tropical Rumble G

Feb Beer Club #1. The theme is 5 IPA's from 5 countries. Lots of lime, peach and passionfruit. Quite unsual for an IPA. This is light summery drink.

Backwoods Bastard G

An old favorite from the days before Untappd. Rich, strong, malty sweet Scotch Ale fortified with delicious bourbon notes.

Supervulcano G

This was an odd duck. Synthethic raspberry toffee taste mixed with enough chili to get a reaction but without torturing you with extreme heat.

Goat Star G

Interesting quad ipa that's not quite there on it's own. But combined with a well aged Gruyere it's quite pleasant.

Más Agave Prickly Pear G

Lovely and unusually salty gose. The prickly pear brings notions of raspberries and the tequila BA fortifies the flavor perfectly.

Quadzilla II G

QUIPA? And I thought TIPAs where quite powerful and boozy. But it's thick and really really powerful.

Kvaszilla G

A sour TIPA? This was definatly something different. It's sour, yet hoppy and zesty at the same time.

Nice with a bit of hop juice. Too bad this one is a little too light.

Limbo Raspberry G

Non-alcoholic lunch beer. Nice tart raspberry taste. A bit more sugar and it would have been indistinguable from a soda.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) G

Now the normal KBS is pretty dang good. But this improves it as the maple and the toffee takes some of the harsh boozy edge of. Also plenty of chocolate and a light roasty coffee note. Such a delightful brew.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek (2019) G

Interesting. It feels different than last years vintage. I remember it being dry but not having this champagne feel to it. Still made with really high quality cherries though and the cherry taste come out more as it warms up.

Late lunch and some time to kill before barber appointment. This is an interesting one. Very citrusy and refreshing despite being non-alcoholic.

Pretty good flavor for a non-alcoholic worked nice with supporting the lunch effort of my favorite place.

The King's Cup G

This is non-alcoholic? It's fruity, floral and even has quite a decent bitterness. Really positive surprise here.

Marvelroast (2020) G

What a delightfully strange beer. Pours golden going on the amber side. But what hits you on the first sip is a really intense dry cacao bitterness that is then followed by mellow roasted coffee notes and finished with a little lactose vanilla sweetness.

George Bourbon BA G

Hmm. This is an interesting one. On it's own it's much too sharp and boozy. But match it with a good quality blue vein cheese or a good Cheddar and suddenly the sharp edge disappears leaving a much smoother experience.

Más Agave Grapefruit G

Dang Founders, really taking the gose style places. This is complex, yet incredibly balanced. Sweetness, fruityness, grapefruit bitterness and that slight saltyness all dance on your palate. Reinforced by subtle notes from the tequila BA. Lovely stuff!
