KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Wheeler
Absolutely ridiculous beer, been aging for a while and drank at room temp. Lots of layers, nothing overpowers and the sweetness is spot on.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2015) Wheeler
Aroma of fresh raspberry and sour cream, raspberry flavour is perfect for the style, acidic edge had been softened by the aging.

Very accomplished ipa, get a bit of orange peel and lots of juicy grapefruit, everything is balanced, nothing groundbreaking here but really well made.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2019) Wheeler
Lovely little palate cleanser, has softened quite a lot in a couple of years, the funk on the nose though is intoxicating, I still think this is their best release, no matter how much people rod fou foune.

A nice fruity pale ale that I bastardised by drinking like a hooligan on the train.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2016) Wheeler
I have always said and I stick by my assessment that this is the most approachable Oude Gueuze out there.

Love a wee heavy, this has really strong barrel aged character lots of bourbon notes, with burnt sugar and dark chocolate.

Amazing balance of fruitiness and acidity. Not quite at the level of more aged ones that I’ve had but sensational none the less.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Wheeler
Just about as nice as it possible for a lambic to be. High carbonation, tart sourness that’s not too intimidating even for a novice. Flavours of Granny Smith, white grapefruit, green olive. Dry vinous finish that lingers long on the palate. Delicious!

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon Wheeler
Love it, tart rather than sour. Notes of sweet and sour, cherry flavours come at the end with a bit of funk and a bit of earthiness.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) Wheeler
None of the pastry bullshit, just a super full bodied boozy imperial stout, with wood and coffee being the most prominent flavours

Moriau Oude Geuze Vieille (2017) Wheeler
Still got the tag on it from Gin & Beer 😢 I love Boons lambics so much, they’re just so drinkable. This is no different.

I drank it without really thinking too much about it, apart from I was enjoying drinking it, which is usually the sign of a well made lager.

A candidate for the best neipa I’ve drunk, I get them when I have one like this. Thick and unctuous, rubicon mango juice, like uncannily like mango juice, sweet but not overly so.
