Dry Hopped Hefeweizen Akers

First beer of the night while I'm cooking for a friend. The food turned out to be a success. I really liked how bitter and grassy this one was, while the hints of banana took the edge off.

Kriek Boon (2022) Akers

We should've let this one age longer probably. At least for me, this one is too sweet at this time.

All Day IPA Akers

Been seeing this one pop by at grocery stores recently. Never felt the need to buy it, but it was worth receiving it in my monthly beer box.

Dirty Bastard Akers

A beer with a hook, it's the scotch notes in this one that hit home. It is not too heavy and quite smooth but with a whole lot of depth.

Breakfast Stout (2021) Akers

At 8.3% this one isn't all that high on alcohol compared to some others. Definitely breakfast-like beer with the coffee, oatmeal and chocolate in here.

Oude Kriek Boon (2019) Akers

The first kriek I can appreciate, it's a good one. Sour and full of cherry as they should be. The last one of the night.

Rijke Herfstbok Akers

Kinda kicking off the autumn season with this one, and it is a decent one! Warming stuff that's also sweet and dark.

Radler Citroen Akers

So I got screwed up a little on this one. On the menu it said Shandy Lemon, so I was expecting something local or something I haven't had before. Guess I thought wrong, because I am now stuck with a good old Grolsch.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Akers

Hits like an absolute truck, so many different layers of taste all at once. It's very roasty and the woody accents of the bourbon barrels it sat in are definitely there. Mixed in with the coffee and chocolate just makes this something truly special.

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Akers

Finally a Lambic worth drinking! Ever since COVID started I have been looking for a good Lambic being sold in the Netherlands, and this one takes the cake because it's not sweet at all, really sour, but not in an unpleasant way.

Dankwood Akers

Really good stuff, and it isn't cheap. Beer from the USA rarely is. You can almost taste the barrel in which this beer has been aged. The bourbon gives you this very pleasant warm feeling. It's really good
