Pineapple, a bit mango and other tropical note, light and easy drinkable
over 3 years ago
Thick and juicy, and an inferno of a mouthful, which is quite alcoholic at first, time works for that matter though. The body seems to be lagging direction, which compromise deepness. I guess that’s the reason qipa also hasn’t become “mainstream” yet.

Perfect flavor and great American style. Easy drinkable and super color.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Kornbeck
Age is good for lots of things, this as well for sure. The 2016 and 2018 edition, so smooth, vanilla, bitter and cocoa. This also offers notes of that, but also alcoholic and a bit metallic.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Kornbeck
Notes of Tonga, bit bourbon and some bitterness all in potpourri of deliciousness. Some aging I guess would have done it even better. So far founders have done a lot, but definitely not disappointed me with their stouts - touché.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 11.9% Kornbeck
What a way to “celebrate” the 500th check-in. The KBS’s is for sure one of the all time best in my opinion. So roasty, loads of coffee and rich in flavor as well as taste and a little deeper and more roasty than the 2018 I’ve had.

Bit to sweet for my taste. The apricot really come through in this, so much my wife actually liked it, who is otherwise a “non-beer drinker

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Kornbeck
Same body as KBS, and lots of maple. Aftertaste a bit alcoholic and not as round as hoped for, gotta find the 2017 edition 🤞🏼
