Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend (2016) Murdoch

Unfortunately, this bottle was a deader. The seal was poor, with minor leakage apparent. As a result, flat. Disappointing, as I've had good experiences with Boon in the past. Very metallic finish, clearly not representative of the product at its best.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°3 Murdoch

Marvelous geuze. Layers of lambic, bready malt, and a strong peppery finish. Clean and dry, absolutely fantastic pour. Schmeckt es sehr gut!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Murdoch

An interesting take on KBS. I've been looking forward to trying it for a few years, and it's not disappointing. The boozy note marries with roasted coffee and maple. On the finish, there's some fudgey notes, but it's pleasant and clean. A nice stout.

What a fun beer! Golden, yet coffee, cocoa, and vanilla. A sweet beer, but not cloying. Robust, yet balanced. And doesn't feel like an Imperial at all. Skøl!
