Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend (2016) Szałański

4th of the set: Immediately acidic, with neutral, (very slightly) woody body and a phenolic finish and aftertaste. The taste is on the verge of being overwhelmingly Brett. If other beers from this series were artisan's tools, this one would be a hammer

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend (2016) Szałański

3rd of the set: Immediate tartness combined with a fruity body and a phenolic aftertaste. A lot more straightforward than 91 and 108, but also a fair bit less complex.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne VAT 91 Mono Blend (2016) Szałański

2nd of the set: Dry notes at the beginning giving way to the light sweet peachy/nectarine body, followed by acidic and brett lingering aftertaste. Feels pretty light and sparkly despite the alcohol content.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend Szałański

Soft, smooth feel and taste, followed by some brett notes and acidity and rounded out by oakwood. By now I almost expect lambics to overwhelm me with brett and acidic notes, but this subverts it pleasantly with how delicate it is.
