This is a decent beer, and brings in some of the French Toast flavor, but I prefer the straight Backwoods Bastard. For a French Toast flavor I’d look at Roak’s French Toast Devil Dog or its BA big brother.

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS - FOUNDERS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BEER Terborg
For those of you who have enjoyed Underground Mountain Brown (the best brown I’ve ever had), there’s a lot to like. Hazelnut and chocolate notes compliment this limited edition. Get it before it’s gone.

Good, but not a standout in the KBS line. I’d choose the original or the Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa ahead; if you like this style, choose Oddside Ales’ Hazel’s Nuts.

If Founder’s Dirty Bastard is the benchmark of Scotch ales (it is), this is what happens when you turn it to 11. The best Scotch Ale you can find without hunting high and low.

Lightly smoky maple-bacon notes form a beautiful smooth taste for this full-bodied stout. A definite hit from the Dogfish boys. If you see it, don’t miss out.

Curmudgeon's Better Half Terborg
Take Founders Old Curmudgeon, a beer they named after me, then mellow it out for a year by bourbon barrel aging, and you get a more tempered form of the original. Worth the pour.

Underground Mountain Brown Terborg
Without a doubt, the best and most complex brown I’ve ever had. Bold coffee notes, smoothed and mellowed by the BB aging. This is not a beer to miss. A+.

This isn’t really a beer. It’s a craft-brewed attempt at a malt liquor, which makes me call it a “bourbon lite”. If I want that, I’ll buy a bourbon, but it was an interesting concept. I just don’t need it again.

The blueberries and chocolate make this very smooth. People like or hate this generally; I enjoyed it. Tastes lower ABV despite full body, making it dangerously sessionable for me. Tasted in a balloon glass in premise.
