French Toast Bastard M.

The only thing I can figure is I can’t get past the flavor of the triple dog brown I just had. This wee heavy is dark and roasty, but not overly sweet. No real syrup flavor either. A but if cinnamon but I expected a lot more from a founders brew.

Dirty Bastard (2023) M.

A wonderful scotch ale from founders. Rich and malty with a solid smoky flavor. Quick hit of hops in the finish knocks it down a peg. Love to see this as a BBA.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) M.

Excellent stout from founders. A balanced blend of chocolate and coffee with a heavy smack of maple syrup. If you like breakfast stout this is a beer for you!

KBS Chocolate Cherry (2022) M.

How I do love a good BBA stout! I feel like this year’s edition was but, but the cherry in this is so very good. Could use a bit more chocolate, but still, KBS makes some awesome stouts!

Chocolate Cherry KBS M.

Now this is how you make a BBA stout with fruitiness! The blueberry tasted fake to me, but this chocolate cherry is amazing! Boozy and warming with a solid bittersweet chocolate and a dose of rich coffee and the cherry cones in on the back. Wonderful!

KBS Blueberry M.

A solid boozy BBA from founders but the blueberry tasted very fake to me. Like cough syrup fake. If it had just been the boozy coffee stout it would have been wonderful, but the blueberry wasn’t very good.

Breakfast Stout M.

Nothing like a strong founders stout to start the evening off. This rich coffee stout feels like you are crunching on fresh roasted berms but it’s not terribly heavy. Think if Guinness had a strong coffee stout, this would be it. Lovely!

Canadian Breakfast Stout 2019 M.

Absolutely fantastic brew from founders. Sweet BBA with a rich bourbon flavor and a wonderful sweetness of maple with a bit of smokiness bacon in the breakfast stout. Amazing!

Crimson Cru M.

A boozy red amber grand cru with a rich oak flavor. Really nice flavor from dogfish.

KBS Hazelnut (2022) M.

I’m not a huge hazelnut fan, but this boozy 12% is quite tasty. Rich chocolate coffee with a solid amount of hazelnut. It’s true KBS and like most it’s really good.

Green Zebra M.

Another excellent summertime brew. The green zebra is a light sweet tart sour with a solid watermelon flavor. Good amount of pucker as well. Not too little or too fake of a watermelon flavor either. Very well made sour.

Frootwood (2022) M.

A sweet cherry ale from founders. Huge fan of sour cherry brews but this BBA mixed nicely with a heavy dose of maple syrup is absolutely delicious. A great desert brew.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Lime M.

A light and bubbly margarita in a seltzer. Not as good as the WTF from heist the other day, but this is in my top 5 of seltzers.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge M.

Wow! Super sweet syrupy sugar up front with a heavy roasted stout follow. The sweetness lingers and takes back over. Not a quick drink but a very enjoyable sippin brew!

KBS M.

Wow! This is one coffee filled stout. Big time coffee flavor and a solid stout finish.
