Been a while but glad I aged this. It gathered some nice leathery funk and oddly tasted more like rhubarb now. Go figure eh?

Dry, bright grapefruit zest, aspirin like mouthfeel. Keg pour had a great fluffy head that was looser than bottle typically. Great betweener.

Hello again friend. What's it been? 3 years? Dry, spicy, musty and slight melon out of the bottle. Great silky texture. Low acidity. I love the grape skin retronasal. Pretty subtle out of the bottle but it warmed up wonderfully and the grapes came out.

Got a good amount of acetic, still a lot of great cherry. Past is prime but fun to compare to the 3F2017 oude kriek

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac) Odden
Low carb, golden sight haze. Smooth gueuzey funk, a bit of apple and apricot. Quite oaky, dry, and a distinct white wine character.

An upshot of 2020 has been amazing beer abundant outside the brewery, this being one of them. It's been a couple years since I've had it, the apricot is big but balanced with incredible depth of lambic. Almost wine-like, acidity is pleasant. Well rounded.

Jammy, tannic, little bit of funk in the retronasal. Really pleasant vanilla add it warms up. Real smooth.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2016) Odden
Mmm, mmm, mmm. Medium intensity brett notes. Lots of lemon zest, some isovaleric. Lots of cheesy hop derived funk too. Great cherry on top of the night. Not pungent, just well expressed. We miss you, 2016.
