Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2023) N.

Huge amount of tart black cherries (both flesh and pits), slightly sour and sweet, very much balanced and elegant. Happy birthday to me.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2022) N.

Tart, unripe green apricots, slight grapefruit. Never tried such a young lambic before. Happy birthday to me. 🍻🍻🍻

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) N.

Slightly less body than the last time I tried it, much more coffee, big chunks of 80% dark chocolate melting in a bourbon glass, a bit woody. No vanilla, no sweetness, just sheer roasty firepower. Always a pleasure.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake (2016) N.

Still enjoyable after all these years: huge vanilla, straight espresso, thick/oily, no carbonation. Hell yeah.

Ampersand: Motueka N.

Foamy, slight white melon, but there's lots of stewed vegetables. Not what I expected.

KBS Hazelnut (2022) N.

New iteration in the KBS series, this time with hazelnuts: dark chocolate and nutella cream, big roasty notes, some espresso. Not far from Omnipollo trademark stuff, but in a much more elegant way.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) N.

Just as written on the label: cinnamon upfront, then vanilla and some cocoa powder. Bourbon barrel comes last, in the usual Founders elegant and powerful way. Multi-layered and thick. Amazing.

Cryopop Whirlyboy N.

It seems Cryopop is all the rage, in terms of hop, right now. Beer is pretty much murky, chewy mouthfeel, definitely not mellow: straight up orange juice, citrus peel, dank and some very tiny, i'd say, smoky hint. Intense and awesome.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) N.

Classic dark chocolate/coffee roasty whirlwind, probably a little less body than previous versions, tiny sweet vanilla/bourbon/coconut shade. Predictably delicious.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) N.

Green coffee and bell pepper in the nose, much better on the palate: dark chocolate, espresso, slight maple syrup, subtle bourbon trail. Quite drinkable, despite the layers of taste and the (totally hidden) ABV. Thumbs up.

Panther Cub (2021) N.

Milk chocolate bar drowning in a bourbon glass: medium to thin body, vanilla, slightly woody, not overly sweet though. Founders rarely disappoints.

Blow Pop N.

Kinda funny name isn't it? Judging by the can deformation, this beer has seen much better days. Gassy and fizzy, hugely foamy, almost gushing, but pretty good on the palate nonetheless. No rating.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2017) N.

A raspberry shotgun blast, maximun fruity intensity, definitely more sour than I remember it, with a tiny lemony note.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2020) N.

The usual raspberry blast, both in the nose and the palate. Fresh and thirst-quenching.

Imperial Stout (2019) N.

Full creamy tan head, oily texture. Hugely roasty, ashy, dark chocolate and espresso, ultra-tasty and fulfilling.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) N.

Always amazing. The end of the world is nigh? Well, you know there's a KBS you can count on.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2015) N.

Elegant and balanced, cellar and barnyard, some white wine, sourness is here, but not overwhelming. Definitely good.
