Definite grapefruit zest on the bouquet. Balance between light bitterness, slightly tart, and a hint sweet. Refreshing. Carbed up. Three months old.

Juniper melds with citrus. Like the fermentation, primary flavor is fast. Rye spice mellows to reveal the berry aspect of the juniper.

Good haze on an already good beer. Juicy. Some tropical notes. A little heat behind the hops.

Huge malt with moderate booziness. Mild syrupiness considering the style. Still a hit.

Complex bouquet begining with lighter chocolate and vanilla and transitions to heavier bourbon booziness. Body of a brown, a tinge creamier from lactose. Definitely boozy, but otherwise balanced between BBA and vanilla/malt character. Little beer flavor.

Boozy, chocolatey nose. Very rich mouthfeel, marginally cut by the ABV. Tingling bourbon on the tongue. Gentle heat. Mellowed. Darker caramel maltiness.

Curmudgeon's Better Half Junepenis
Syrupy sweetness is balanced by thinning booze. Very rich any which way you cut it. Equal parts maple syrup and bourbon barrel.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Junepenis
Beautiful complexity. Various flavors arise upon warming up. Boozy. Molasses and some chocolate. Syrupy without feeling cheapened.

Bold, but not out-there. This Reinheitsgebot-adherent brew has big, malty flavor that presents as sweet, but for a lager. Yeast character accents the center-stage malt. A traditional style done pretty alright by an American brewery.
