Vanilla has definitely faded and body is fading. Still enjoyable and becoming more balanced as it ages.

Nice fruited lambic! Strongly sour, but bursting with blueberry flavor. An enjoyable sour!

Green Zebra

Light sour and watermelon rind aroma. Initially slightly tart which builds bringing sweet malt and a hint of watermelon flesh. A nice straightforward fruited göse great for summer.

Beer Geek Breakfast

Intense roasty aroma. Initial strong harsh burnt malts, coffee, rounds to being smooth but still retains a harsh bitter aftertaste. I'm shocked I don't like this more, but it's a very harsh stout and doesn't meet what you expect from a breakfast stout.

Rübæus

Intense Raspberry aroma. Strong sweet raspberries with a hint of tartness. Nitro adds a very enjoyable low carbonation and smooth/creamy body. Delicious!

Sonne

Light citrus hoppy aroma. Light malt, with grapefruit hop/bitterness. Nice IPA but lacking character.

Beer Geek Porter

Still a nice porter.

Sunshine

Intense floral and sour aroma. Shockingly light, with a strong floral, lemon, vinous and sour character. This is a really interesting and refreshing sour.

Påskebryg

Floral hoppy aroma. Nice malt forward with a hoppy bite near the finish. Straightforward helles.

Afterglow

Nice citrus aroma. Initially malty sweetness, lightly bitter citrus that slowly builds to a bitter hoppy finish. Enjoyable TIPA but lacking depth.

A little too bitter to be an excellent coffee porter, still very nice!

It's fine. Tastes like a fruited sour with cranberries.

Stolen Red Berries

Strong sweet cherry aroma. Sweet cherry forward then lightly sour with a lingering cherry finish. Nice Berlinerweiss/fruited sour.

Black (2019)

Strong sweet and roasty aroma. Initially very sweet, malty and roasty. Boosy with a harsh roasted finish and lingering sweetness. This bounces between love and hate with each sip depending on how harsh the finish is.

Spontan Goes Spontan

Strong tart lemon and lime aroma. Strong initial rush of tart lemon, hints of lime. Slightly funky. Tastes better than last time but still too sour to be much more enjoyable.

Oregon Fruit Series Spontan Plum

Sweet and sour dark fruit aroma. Tart throughout with a underlying plum like sweetness. Nice fruited sour!

Diffuse Light

Aroma smells exactly like passion fruit. Malt body & flavor lighter than expected with lemon and orange bitterness from the hops. Fine IPA but not as well balanced as it could be.

Damn Dark Stout VII

Strong roasted malt aroma. Smooth coffee initially that builds to a strong roasted malt with a cocoa/coffee finish. Extremely well done stout, one of the best straight stouts I've had in a long time.

Spontanapricot

Funky barnyard and apricot aroma. Tart, apricot, oak with a clean, dry, sour finish. The spontaneous fermentation adds some extra funk. But it doesn't really taste good with the apricot.

Castle Black Stout

Strong coffee, chocolate malt aroma. Strong middle with flavors of brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, prune/raisin, vanilla, oak and a hint of bourbon. Nice and smooth with low carbonation. Incredibly delicious BBA stout. Very well done beer.

Burst

Moderate citrus aroma. Light body with moderate citrus hop flavor. Basic citrus type IPA. Nothing to write home about.

Stolen Red Berries

Very strong cherry and berry aroma. Initially lightly sour with a slight vanilla and fruity/berry/cherry flavor. The cherry/berry flavors builds to a very strong lingering finish. A nice berlinerweiss.

Spontancassis

Strong sour berry aroma. Sour, tart, earthy, with tons of black currant flavor. Nice fruited sour!

Spontandryhop Idaho 7 & Lemondrop

Sour with a citrus aroma. Nice light sourness that builds to a light citrus with a sweet/sour citrus finish. Really nice sour. Dry hopping added a really nice character to this sour.

Porter

Chocolate malty aroma. Roasted chocolate malts, caramel undertones, smooth but full body. Definitive example of an American Porter.

Specular

Very strong hoppy and citrus aroma. Very hoppy and sweet malts. Strong bitter citrus flavor with a bitter bite. The citrus hops are way overdone in this triple IPA.

Imperial Stout

Malty, prune and coffee aroma. Smooth, cocoa, toasty, malty flavors. A mild imperial stout, but enjoyable and easy to drink for the ABV.

Beer Geek Porter

Roasted chocolate malt aroma mixed with coffee. Nice roasty, coffee, slightly sweet malt. A nice robust porter with great coffee notes. Could definitely drink a few of these.

Vesterbro Spontanale

Tart citrus aroma. Light, tart, sharp tart citrus, hint of bitter citrus flesh, slightly earthy and clean finish. Enjoyable fruited sour.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS)

Strong coffee aroma. Smooth bourbon, coffee and toffee flavor. Slightly malty and maple finish. Nice BBA stout. But definitely no original KBS.......

American Pale Ale

Light malt and hoppy aroma. Thin, light, slightly clean malt with a hoppy peppery aroma. Interesting pale ale but there are many better ones.

Midsummer Dream 2021

Light malt, hoppy citrus aroma. Light body, clean and crisp. Slight light hop and citrus flavor. Clean and bitter finish.

Mikkeller Super Cool

Citrus and tropical hop aroma. Sweet, juicy, citrus and slightly tropical hoppy flavor. A full flavored NE IPA. Very hoppy, but the bitterness is not overwhelming.

Chug-hop-Alypse

Light malty and citrus aroma. Malty followed by a strong hoppy hit of citrus and floral flavors. Interesting dry hopped pale ale closer to an IPA though...

Sundried Saison

Amazing perfect saison aroma of spicy, malty. Light body with farmhouse spiciness/light funk, perfect light malt, earthy and hoppy finish. This is a perfectly executed saison.

K:rlek Vår/Sommar (2021)

Aroma of light malt and grassy hop aroma. Light biscuity malt followed by resinous and grassy hops. Clean, light finish. Nice hoppy pale ale.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise 2021

Strong floral hoppy aroma. Sour, then tart, then bitter. Sour in line with Cantillon gueze, but a nice hoppy bitterness rounds it out, similar to dry hopped pale ales. Leaves a nice tart/bitter finish. Exceptionally balanced and well crafted.

Lou Pepe Framboise

Sour raspberry and malt vinegar aroma. Tart raspberry forward, followed by raspberry sweet fruit, rounding out to a malty vinegar tang. This beer exhibits critical flaws. Not sure if it's due to the draft system or beer. Giving a generous rating...

Nath (2020)

Sour/sweet aroma. Tart forward followed by tart rhubarb and hints of raspberry. Carbonation in very low. Finish is tart but clean. Interesting fruited lambic.

Deep Passion Pool

Strong guava and passion fruit aroma. Tart passion fruit, followed by juicy sweet guava rounding out to a sweet-tart and slight salty finish. Very nice imperial göse.

Passion Pool

Tart citrus and passion fruit aroma. Sweet and tart passion fruit, citrus, hint of salt flavors. Really enjoyable fruited göse!

Game of Thrones - Iron Anniversary IPA

Hoppy, floral aroma. Malty, with a floral hoppy finish. A very basic IPA... Not impressed with this one.

Hop Opera

Very light citrus hop aroma, very faint malt and hops until finish. Finishes with sweet malt and citrus hops. Okay Imperial IPA.

Bundobust Pale Ale

Immense amount of head, beer foamed out the top/on the floor when opening. Way over carbonated, citrus and pine nose, hop flavors seemed to have faded and now are slight citrus and pine. Not bad but well past it's prime.

Organic Cuckoo Wit

Yeasty, orange peel, malty, wheat, thin. Interesting Belgian whit, but mostly unremarkable.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake Barrel Aged Bourbon

Bottle from 2016. Carbonation is mostly gone, coffee and vanilla flavor barely there. Slightly sweet and creamy. The age has really rounded out the BBAing, but taken away the carbonation and supporting vanilla and coffee. Still a great beer!

Xmas Wish Gluten Free

Clean and crisp, hops hide the bite on the finish typical of gluten free beers made with rice. Not bad, but definitely not better than a typical IPA.

Santa's Little Helper

Dark, malty, roasty, boost, orange peel, coriander. Nice winter warmer!

Spontan Goes Spontan

Crazy tart, funky, but maily citrus sour. The bergamot is crazy over powering. Tastes like drinking a warhead.

Swedish Polar Beer

Thin, juicy, citrus, hoppy. Uninspiring session IPA. Low ANV leaves little room for complexity.

The Guide

Hippy, citrus, floral. Interesting BW IPA. Would have preferred no Simcoe hops, but not bad.

Nelson Sauvin Brut 2020

Sweet, dry, light oak, citrus, bitter, vinous. Interesting beer. Probably best as a magnum for celebrating.

Resting Brew Face

Strong citrus and stone fruit flavor. Balanced with malt/alcohol very well. Very good NE IPA

Iskold Classic

Smoked malt, nice honey flavor, grassy bitterness. A nice Vienna lager.

Kaffestout

Roasted chocolate malt, creamy, coffee, hint of milk/cream. Interesting coffee stout.

Riesling People

Sweet, slightly tart with bitter finish. Very interesting IPA but works well. Citrus and wine flavors abound.

Sweet, tart, lightly sour, cherry. Interesting sour, super strong on fruit, light on sour.

Beer Geek Cocoa Shake BA Whisky Vanilla Rum

Wow! This is incredible BA Imp Stout!!! Sweet cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, rum, syrupy and super dark.

Japanese Rice Lager With Yuzu

Light, crisp, clean, bitter, thin, citrus. Tastes like a very well done pilsner with less body and hints of lemon/orange citrus.

Henry & Irma Vinter Hygge IPA

Pine and malty forward, finishes to pine hops and enduring bitterness. A malty west coast IPA. Too bitter for me taste.

American Dream Extra Dry-Hopped

Light on character. Thin, hoppy bitterness, but little flavor. Disappointing hoppy pils.

Hazy Organic IPA

Earthy, hoppy, thin, not very "hazy", pine hoppyness,claims tropical hops, but not present.

It's Blowing Half A Pelican / Det blæser en halv pelikan

Strong citrus hop forward, dry, mildly malty, hoppy finish. Hoppier than expected. Citrus is lemony. Not great, not terrible.

Spontanbeetroot

Sour, tart, watery, slightly low carbonation, earthy, slightly sweet/beet flavor, hints of oak.

Monk's Brew

Sweet, malty, roasty, dry. Unmemorable

Black Bear

Sweet, extra malty, prune, raisin, slight roast character with coffee and chocolate hints. Sweet for a RIS, but enjoyable for the abv.

Cuvée Oude Henri

Mikkeller beer club October 1/9. Dry, hints of oak, tart, less sweet than typical gueze, Smells like fermenting wine, beautiful cloudy golden color. Nice variant of Belgian Gueze by adding wine barrels to the aging process.

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse Frederiksdal Cherry

Sweet immediately shifts to tart cherry. Hints of cherry jam that tastes like cherry pie filling. Just the right complexity to be enjoyable throughout.

George! Barrel Aged Bourbon

4/7 Sept. Mikkeller beer club. Sweet, malty, roasty, thick/syrupy, coffee, vanilla, oak and bourbon. Lots of character, complex, but not trying to do more than the label suggests. Excellent BBA Imp Stout!
