Nelson Sauvin Brut 2020 Meldgaard
Quite decent. Sweet, mild, tart. Well balanced and a bit vinous.
Backlog. Not that happy with this one. Not a great balanced. Over-perfurmed nose, a bit synthetic taste and lingering bitterness. It does have some fruityness and grass notes going for it, but it is overshadowed by the other stuff

Very reasonable for the schwarzbier. The smoke is not overwhelming which is good.

Humleskum På Ottende år Meldgaard
Wtf, no adjuncts or juice but tastes of strawberries or tropical fruits. What is going on.
Very special beer. For me it was a bit too heavy on the coffee front. Wouldn’t have mind more fruits and hops.
I did find it surprising flavorfull for a low percentage dry stout. Lots of roasty coffee notes but ofc it does lack depth and complexity. But a good beer for a concert if you want something else than IPAs or Pilsners

Paid In Diamonds - Cabernet 2020 Meldgaard
Decent enough. Has some red Wine feel to it but overall it felt a bit decadent and flat. I would have loved more tartness and acidity.
A good raspberry lambic. I wouldn’t mind more acid or sourness. But it’s good, fresh and light!

Big Bang Barley Wine 2023 Meldgaard
A bit too boozy, not a great after taste. Other than that a bit caramel and earthy

Black Malts & Body Salts Meldgaard
Why haven’t I checked this one in. Had it a long time ago
over 1 year ago
Black currant, vanilla, lactose. Sweet, a little bit sourness and smooth mouthfeel with a somewhat tart finish.
A quite spicy wheat beer, but ofc with a bit of that classic banana
almost 2 years ago
Same rating as the last time I guess. I was dumb enough to let this sit in refrigerator past its bbf date. It has gotten flat and the taste very mellow. Always drink your ipas fresh
almost 2 years ago
Fine and easy going IPA. Little bit watery base but easy to drink. Nose of coffee and taste of coffee, mild and round.
Not a super interesting session. A little bit lemon, herbal and piney. Quite watery.
I actually wouldn’t had mind if it was a little bit more sour, but overall fresh, citrusy well balanced and a little bit vinous.
A normal regular stout with coffee and licorice notes

Bourbon Barrel Aged Adambier Meldgaard
Best beer tonight so far. A little bit thin mouthfeel, but notes of bourbon, a little bit chocolatel. Warm and pleasant.
Quite well balance IPA. Fruity (Mango, pineapple) and juicy with dry & bitter aftertaste
almost 2 years ago
I stand by my last rating. Really good Pale ale. I can taste it is not newly tapped anymore since no grassy notes came through, instead more fruit like orange, grapefruit & mango with a dry and bitter finish.

Got this the 13th of June. Forget to rate. Your standard nice Gueze.

Great Gig In The Sky Meldgaard
Like a combi of a very NEIPA and West Coast. Tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, but lots of grassyness, and a dry & bitter finish.
Lots of passion fruit, lots of tartness and a dry finish. Great great beer for sunny weather.
It is what it is. Not a bad beer for its genre, but kinda what you expect from a craft beer within this genre.
Hej Martin K. Dette er ikke en pilsner. Så jeg forstår godt hvorfor du synes det er strålende pilsner😅Fin nok session IPA, som har tropiske noter og er overraskende bitter.
In lots of ways just a regular sour with red berry fruity notes and tartness.

Beer Geek Breakfast (Mikkeller x Minoh) Meldgaard
Fine coffee stout, and damn what do you know. It tasted of coffee
about 2 years ago
10 out of 10 for design. Beer is a normal good citrus & grapefruity ipa. Not mindblowing, but a well adjusted brew (another Thanks for the beer Kenneth)
Straight up good fruity berliner Weisse. Really prefer this over their Raspberry sour. It is refreshing and tart, and Thanks to the blueberry being more intense flavorwise then this one feels more fruity. Great summer beer!

Berry Barrage Sour Ale With Red Berries Meldgaard
A decent berry sour. Lots of raspberry and citrus, quite tart

Best stout I have had from Bad Seed. Good roasty coffee notes mixed with chocolate and coconut.

Black Wedding (2023) Meldgaard
Yup. The wedding Series is the best BA Series for the money in DK. Another great one with a subtle sharp whisky Edge, a bit of chocolate and coffee.
Just a good Barley Wine man. Cheap for the percentage, sweet, earthy, caremelly and a bit fruity like Apples or pear maybe. Doesn’t get too boozy despite the percentages.

Saint Huck ‘round my neck. It never gets respect. Okay coffee oatmeal stout.

White Wedding (2023) Meldgaard
This is and still remains one of the best danish stouts for the Price. Wonderful complex nose with chocolate, oak and fruits. Taste sweet, of chocolate, small fruity & vinous notes with a round and mild mouthfeel.

Domesticated Paradise Meldgaard
Forgot to rate this one. Quite okay, mango, lime and cinnamon with a dry finish
over 2 years ago
Very malty and quite hoppy. Taste like a grass field with a bit of herbal notes to it. Quite sweet and bitter.
Very chocolately and toffee. Gave a very strong cinnamon after taste despite there being none, so thst was strange
over 2 years ago
Yup, hate my life and had to Roll the DIE. It also hates me, so a doppelbock it was. Sweet caramel malt, fine regular bock, which means it is fairly boring.
A nice well brewed barrel stout. Strong nose of oak, a bit of chocolate and roasty coffee. Tastewise is mild coffee, chocolate and some barrel fudgyness.
Very impressed with this. Value for your money. Taste like a good quality gueze. Taste of pear and Apple, low acidity, tart finish. Not super acid.
Very well balanced IPA. Reminds me of Apex IPAs and that is a huge compliment from me. Citrus and tropical fruits, fresh and a little bit grassy and herbal.
This one is a grower. The more you taste the more flavors come through. Also grassy, piney. Tropical flavors like mango and grapefruits comes through when the tastebuds adjusted
over 2 years ago
A good and very decent coffee stout. Excellent coffee nose, mild and strong aromas. Taste is sweet coffee which is very round and a little bit chocolate
over 2 years ago
Rhubarb and raspberry. Rhubarb nose, sweet, fresh and jam-like.
Another hoppy one nose of mango and taste as well. On top of that this taste quite newly tapped, grassy, herbal and a little bit piney.
Fine fresh wheat beer. A bit of banana and lemon in the taste. Nose is quite Belgian yeast style and a bit banana
over 2 years ago
Very hoppy and fresh. Nose of orange juice. Taste newly tapped, grassy and tropical with notes of orange and grapes and a bitter finish
over 2 years ago
Pretty decent. Quite round and mild coffee stout. Sweet, roasty and a bit of chocolate
over 2 years ago
This was brilliant to drink from draft on a long concert evening with lots of bands. Definitely better from draft than on bottle.
For a 12th anniversary beer then this was super disappointed. Lots of boring coffee and almost unnoticable vanilla, boozy finish.
Hmm odd one. It has yndefulde tasted to it, very earthy. Besides that it could have used more barrel and stronger base. It came off as a bit too thin - it was still very enjoyable, mild and sweet coffee.
Forgot to rate this at the start of this year. Absolutely one of the best danish stouts I have tasted.

Canute the Great - Bourbon Barrel Release 2022 Meldgaard
The one I got had a really dominant sharp bourbon taste. Might have been better if I left om the shelf for some months. Other than that you can tell the good basics are there.

Frederiksdal Oude Kriek Barrel Finish Meldgaard
Earthy, oaky, sour cherries. A decent lambic, but I think less sourness and more complexity would have suited it. That was the Mikkeller xmas calendar. Folkingebrew won. Some good beers in between, but I did expect more.
Bready, spicy and malty lager. Little bit above average lagers
over 2 years ago
Cool can, but the beer is so & so. Coffee stout with a spicy/chili finish. The chili doesn’t serve much purpose except the burn/heat in the Mouth (no worries, it is mild)
Santa's Hoppy Helpers Meldgaard
A light piney West Coast style ipa, that doesn’t impress or disappoint in any way.
Hmm rated this quite high the last time. I think the sweetness is a bit overwhelming and needs something to balance it out. Taste of roasty coffee mostly
over 2 years ago
Not a fan of this one. Metallic taste and got a synthetic feel to it (maybe because of the lactose). Dry and tart and taste of Cherry. If you want to taste an actual good Risalamande beer then go for Mad Scientist’s Memphis Mafia!
Text and grade from the last time match. Normal Belgian style wheat/wit beer. Should not impress or disappoint anyone

Holiday Ale From To (Til Fra via Mikkeller) Meldgaard
This one would be a great beer with some of the heavy Christmas food. Very spiced and flavorful, but the beer doesn’t feel heavy though.
Very enjoyable breakfast stout. Round and pleasant, syrupy sweet.
It is a very pure Christmas Bock. Does everything it is suppose to do. It taste of cloves, oranges and cinnamon in a well-balanced mix.
Going against the average again. Thought this was too roasty and bitter for a Brown ale. I have tasted many Brown ale coffee mix I would prefer over this.
Neu Pilsner “Kaltgehopft” Meldgaard
In lots of way your standard craft beer pilsner. More hoppy and fresh feel to than a normal pilsner and a nose with honey-infused malt.

Full Danish Breakfast Meldgaard
A pretty regular breakfast stout. Taste of oats and coffee.

K:rlek Spring/Summer (2022) Meldgaard
Very orangey/critusy Pale ale and some yeastyness that lingers on the back of the tongue
over 2 years ago
Imperial Jule Porter Meldgaard
A fine imperial porter. Taste of coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla. Round and mild
over 2 years ago
A little bit flat after having stood for a year. Taste okay still. Mostly of chocolate
over 2 years ago
Not great, not terrible. Seems like only the bitterness was left from the hops, decent maltbase though.
Very easy-going stout. Soft, mild, chocolately and a bit malty. Not much depth or complexity but goes down very easy.
Almost taste like it has been on barrel. Quite enjoyable, lots of chocolate, a bit mild roasty coffee and underlying vanilla notes
over 2 years ago
An extra 0.25 because this is actually a damn good pilsner that deserve a higher average. Malty, biscuitty and bready, fresh and hoppy, sweet but also with good bitter finish than balance it out and give a crisp finish.
A very pineapple dominated IPA. Light, smooth and with a small bitter kick.
Definitely fresh take on a pilsner. Light, a bit floral/fruity, very refreshing and also a bit crispness to it. Goes down really easy, could drink a ton of these
almost 3 years ago
Bourbon, fudgy, chocolate and fat mouthfeel. Biggest downside is it feels a little bit too aromatic and the barrels could have shined through more, but still a very decent stout.
Quite enjoyed this one. Very mango like nose. Tastewise a bit of mango, banana, pine, floral and sweet.
Was I unlikely with mine considering the High average? Very carbonated, taste felt mostly salty with a bit of pine. No much fruity Vibe to it.
Like it a little better than the first time I had it. Maybe because it was on a warm summerday this time. Very light and fruity ipa with a melony taste. Thin body
almost 3 years ago
Fanø bryghus. Lots of love to you guys. Red & White wedding are among the best stouts in DK. Initally a strong chocolate roasted nose with some oak barrel. Taste of chocolate and raisin but as it warms up some Cherry and sweetness comes more through.

Gamma, King of the IPA Hill in Denmark. These are the guys to beat on the IPA front here. Very tropical nose. Tastewise it feels like some stonefruits like peach and mango with a little bit pine on the side. Good balance Between sweet and bitter.
Straight away some almond and chocolate in the nose. It got a very sweet taste palette, bit to sweet. Chocolate is the most dominant flavor while almond plays as underlying note. Needs something to balance it out. Some barrels would have been great
