Been too long since I’ve had this. Just such an excellent basic porter! No adjuncts, no added flavors, just the basic ingredients fir a dark beer and its great. Could actually drink multiples of this vs say their Breakfast stout.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Quimby

I should love this but i don’t. Smells great looks great but I think I’m not a big fan of the base stout and the coffee used in this is too bitter, espresso like. Even the maple syrup flavor seems a tad too much. Oh how i miss CBS!

Need to up my rating… nit sure what I was thinking years ago… lol. This base stout is so good and the main reason i love KBS and all its variants and probably why i don’t like BCBS. So much chocolate & coffee!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Quimby

Bottle dated 9/07/2021. Flavors have faded a bit especially the vanilla but still fantastic. Surprised I rated this higher than Mackinac Fudge variant.

I’m wondering if this is even better than All Day IPA… this is juicier and smoother. But I do miss the bitter bite of the OG.. but its very good and a bargain for 15 pack at $19.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Quimby

Very good, just not as smooth as the 2019! Need to look for 2019 bottles, might let the test of my bottles sit… nahhh still really good.

3 years in the bottle and it gets smoother! Thought its supposed to get boozier! Chocolate still there and coffee. Bourbon note at the finish…. So good.

Forgot how good the base beer for all the KBS’ really was. Its excellent on its own.

Tad bit thinner than the barrel aged stouts but good maple & vanilla, and slight bourbon in background. But its $16

I like the flavors in this more than regular KBS, Mackinac Fudge, and CBS, 3 of the best stouts I’ve had so this is saying a-lot.

Slightly Mighty Quimby

Didn't like it at first but now I do enjoy it in the hot weather and it's widely available while most of the other low calorie beers have disappeared. Some upfront hop flavor, excellent carbonation and a sweet finish.

This is delicious! Everything is subtle, you start with founders already great porter then get the maple syrup first followed by the vanilla with the bourbon barrel in the background the whole time. I feel like this review is my most descriptive yet!

KBS Espresso (2020) Quimby

Too bitter for me. Prefer regular KBS to this.

Underground Mountain Brown Quimby

Other than it being slightly thinner having a hard time distinguishing this from CBS (minus the slight maple) or KBS. Didn’t they have a different name for this? Its excellent and Sumatra coffee may be the best type to put in a beer!

Marvelroast Quimby

Its tasty but it may be a tad too sweet, left me wanting their Pale Joe. Liked Cartons Regular coffee and their light & sweet more.
