Pours opaque brown. Nose is cocoa & coffee with maple notes. Maple & cocoa forward with soft vanilla into the finish all on a light coffee base. Bourbon is a subtle accent. Wonderful body & mouthfeel. ABV very well hidden. Brewer's notes are spot on.

Pours crystal clear medium gold with white head. Nose is flowery. Let it warm a little to unleash the full malt flavor. Hops on either end of a big malty middle. Very un-pilsner-like, but very good. Hints of ripe yellow apples when cold. Timeless Classic!

Another brewer of proven capacity to produce quality dark beer, KBS's Hazelnut Imperial Stout is very bold. It attacks the nose and pallet immediately and persistently. The nutty flavor bore through the barrel aging, but in a balanced way. Impressive!
