[Late Check In] Bottle opened up and all you could smell was fresh raspberry jam and old musty leather, so I was in heaven. The bottle was a bit more acidic than I expected given the age. The berries were jammy as could, playing well against the funk.

[Late Check In] This was my favorite bottle of the day by a wide margin. The amount of oakey vanilla, leather, and lemon filled funk in the nose was otherworldly. The mouthfeel was more full than other gueuzes I've had, with plenty of barnyard goodness.

[Late Check In] Aged Fou Foune is second to none in my eyes. The nose is much more hay and barnyard funk forward than I expected. The apricot profile almost has this creamy character to prop against this wall of musty funk and oak. Spectacular.

[Late Check In] This bottle certainly made one hell of a trip! I'm not too familiar with Pineau d'Aunis grapes, but that didn't stop this from tasting sublime. Tannin filled and lighter body, which acts as a good backdrop to a more nuanced funk.

[Late Check In] As a fan of rhubarb, I'm always excited to see Nath get poured. Nose has some noticable raspberry notes among the funk. Drinks very light, which let's the rhubarb open up. The raspberries come in more towards the back. Great bottle.

Happy Zwanze Day everyone! Thanks erich r. for the bottle and hosting! Nose is musty and filled with vinous goodness. Body has accents of cognac interwoven between leathery funk and hay notes. Excited to spend the day with some awesome people!
