Very different from previous years! Much more lambic and ‘Gueuze’ charachteristics and funky. Less fruitpunch and more complexity. Even though I’ve had better iterations, it’s still fantasticly balanced and tons of depth. Also a good Carnaval starter 😜

After surviving an absolutely crushing two weeks, I think a nice lambic is well-deserved. And as expected, this one does not disappoint. The Framboise underneath is still dominating, with subtle hints of blueberries and vanilla woven in between. Heaven.

Incredibly soft and easygoing while remaining it’s complexity and funkiness. Rich deep berry and grape notes and oak. Some strange dusty, pickle (?) like aroma. Another banger from Cantillon.

Stinky paardendeken! Maar op een goeie manier hoor. Funky maar iets té zacht?

One of my absolute favorite Lambics from Cantillon. Really complex and refined, yet as drinkable as ever! This one’s a little sharp, would be interesting to see what this could do in a few years time.

Incredibly dank. Murky. Still drinkable though. Good, but expected more.

Soft, apple-cidery tartness. Fruity and dry. Pretty nice and drinkable, lacks some depth.

Incredibly sweet. Some funk but overwhelmingly sweet, almost soda like. Not my type of lambic!

Some time in the ‘cellar’ (more like the cabinet in the back of my garage) has actually mellowed this beer out somewhat. Much more balanced now.

Wow! Super balanced and extremely drinkable lambic-like sour! Mosaic and funkiness are a deadly combination apparently, great stuff!

Lovely fresh, sour lambic beer with a plesent touch of sweet hoppiness.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful Kriek! Every year of this beer is a treat but this year especially is a step above the rest. Sour, fruity, cinnamon and oak, what a feast!

Pretty Good! Somewhat vinegary tartness. Nothing exceptional. Interesting to see what this beer will do with age. Shows a lot of potential.

Personally prefer the normal KBS! This one is leaning a little too much towards a pure chocolate stout for my preference. Still doesn’t hurt the beer in anyway, because it’s a perfectly balanced masterpiece of a stout in every other regard.

Thanks Countbeer! Sorry, but I have to be honest, this is not my kind of beer. Very funky, but in a pretty strange, distorted kind of way. Cherries are very upfront, which is nice! I think it doesn’t compliment the Trippelbock as good as I had hoped.

Fantastic BA Imperial Stout! One of the best I’ve had from Mikkeller! Very balanced, Fudgy, thick Imperial Stout with notes of coffee, Cocoa, Rye and pastries. Not too sweet. Would recommend!
