Nose: Dark Fruit, something kinda off in my opinion (Jason doesn't agree - he really liked the nose, but I think he's kinda drunk). Palate: Light Mouthfeel, Dark Fruit(s), Caramel(s). Finish: Dry, Bitter(s). Today's rating: 4.00.

47F Pitch Black, very little carbonation. Nose: Oxidation (s), Coffee. Palate: Thin, Coffee (s), Chocolate (s), Black Licorice (more prominent than the other profiles), some Oxidation. Finish: Chocolate Bitterness, Oxidation (s). Today's rating 3.75. 9YO

Nose:Coffee, Cinnamon.Palate:Thin, Roasty, Coffee, Bitter Chocolate, Cinnamon.Finish:Bitter Chocolate, Cinnamon, Dry.Not really getting any vanilla.Definitely not sweet.It's not a 4.50 anymore-I'm wondering if it ever really was. I'd give it a 4 today.

Great beer. This is what I believe an Old Ale should be. Visual - not terribly dark. Sweet, dark fruit - raisin forward. Maybe a bit boozy. Just a hint of bitterness - maybe from the molasses? Great beer. If the bitterness were a bit more subtle I'd go 5.

As you can see, lots of floaties. It's still very strong, but the booziness is subsiding. Am I getting a hint of sherry? I reported some fruitiness last time, but I'm not sure about that - that's why I'm going with sherry. 3 sips and my tongue is numb.
