Today is International Barrel-aged Beer day. What could be more iconic than a KBS?

Today may be the closest we get the rest of the summer to a cool weather stout day.

Reading a Hop Culture article thru UNTAPPD about Scotch Ales and decided to kick off the weekend with a WeeHeavy on hand.

It was a special occasion. I discovered I had more than one stashed.

Tell if you've heard this one. Two sexy imperial stouts walk into a bar. One is a very tasty red 750 wine barrel age stout, the other a 12 oz. decadent dessert stout. I got drunk.

Taste like the Tigers won their regional, heading for super regional CWS. Pulling for Vandy to beat Oregon so Auburn hosts a Super Regional.

Used to think of the Mas Agaves as warm weather beers till this evening. They're good anytime.

This ale is good, but for me, honestly, it's all about the ruby red color and the cool glass.

Often when I read a brewers description of the beer I don't taste everything in the description. This isn't usually the case with Founder's description of beers. Chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, hint of vanilla, not overly sweet, it's all there on my tongue.

It seems wrong to have this beer when it's in the 80s out here. But it doesn't taste wrong. Happy National Beer 🍺 btw.

It's all there, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, milk sugar & bourbon barrels. It had a sweet booziness that harks back to days of my youth under-age sipping of the Original Southern Comfort. To Founders Brewing's credit it's not as sweet as Southern Comfort.

Peanut butter banana & almond slivers sandwich with a good robust porter, it's AUsome! Who knew? ME!

After drinking porters for a week, I think Robust porter may mean American craft beer porter w/ stuff in it not usually in porters. While the dominate maple sweetness/bourbon, and touch of vanilla doesn't taste to me like porter, it tastes good! Eureka!

And then there were only four, on an unusually warm and sunny day. Which one shall I drink tomorrow?
