Lovely no-nonsense geuze. Quiet day at home, reading, pottering, tidying up. Blowy & wet outside. From Huisvandegeuze I think. 2023-01-14.

Birthday treat to myself, one of the pre-Brexit Huisvandegeuze order. Brilliant! Funky, softly sour, every sip a delight. Tackling the fab jazz quartet Lego set (Xmas pressie from Ness). Dreary wet day outside.

Devilishly tasty. Dark, malty, raisins. Quiet Sunday in. 2022-06-26.

Better than a fine wine, just heaven. How kriek should be. In the background, our portrait by Shelley. Huisvandegeuze order, before Brexit f@%&*# everything up. 2022-05-22.

Great depth. Much time spent sorting stuff out - rehearsing notes for Lancaster, video for D&K, BCCB library, now finally getting to playing some music, but first a beer! 2022-02-13.

Every time I come back to geuze I remember why this is my favourite beer style, and Boon a particularly good example. Also reminds me of those TransPennine Express railway journeys. Funky, bretty. Huisvandegeuze. 23/4/2021.

Superb! Vinous, sour in a great way, well aged. Was worried it might have been corked but turned out to be spectacular. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! 19/12/20.

Another small dent in the geuze stockpile. Soft sour, fruity, light funkiness, pleasant at TQH after a day of work & a lovely beach walk in crisp cold clear weather. Huisvandegeuze. 25/11/20.

Love geuze & even though Boon is part of large brewery (Palm, which I also have a liking for), this is one of my all-time faves. Perfect gentle sourness, winey & bretty. Happy memories of these on Transpennine train trips back from Manchester. 12/11/20.
