I would eat gingerbread year around; so, I’m not counting this as a too soon Christmas beer 😄

Aged 2 years. Starting to mellow just a bit but still has the alcohol burn.

The barrel aging cuts the sweetness just enough.

Chocolate and mild bourbon aroma, but the blueberry dominates the KBS flavors. I agree with Renee K. , not much bourbon on taste. It’s KBS; so, it’s still good.

Bought a single off of the deep discount shelf today. It’s ok but is not at the original rating (which I am not adjusting for this check in). If you already have it on your shelf, drink it soon. It tastes like it could become a malt bomb at any time.

Great brunch beer in small quantity at the hefty ABV. The sweetness hides some of the booziness.

Not sure if this is optimal aging time or if 2019 was my favorite year (according to my Untappd ratings).

A nice night cap of a sweet, bourbony treat.

Very boozy aroma. Ok, but it did not hold up as well as the 2017 BCBS.

Cinnamon and syrup with the bastard oakiness we all love.

Very good, but I still think it lost a little something when Founders went from vintage to year around for this one. Bottled 06.16.2022.

Canned 12/29/2021. A west-coast style that is reminiscent of Green Flash. Earthy with a dank finish. A nice break from the juicy IPAs.

Still boozy at 17+% ABV of course, but mellowing after two years. Definitely drinking better than the newer 2021 vintage. If I could hold on to one for another year or two…

The hazelnut adds a nice dimension to the KBS we all know and love. 🌰🌰🌰🌰

Definitely reminds me of an old-fashioned. I’m more of a Manhattan drinker.

This one’s a little hot. The barrel-aging predominates the flavors. I expect other flavors to come out more as it mellows. Good now but may be better in a few months. Bottled 8.26.21. WE ARE…🏈
