A lot of fresh fruit along with a young lambic, and so it tastes. Mostly raspberries, although cherry also comes through. Some subtle funk. Boon describes this beer as the missing link between beer and wine.

How good are Boon’s tasting notes for this geuze? Excellent! A mild geuze reflecting the 90% 18 month old lambic, with only 5% old. Dry, bitter, old mouldy lemon skins. A touch acetic.

Kriek Boon Lambic (non-Oude variety). Bright round cherry, quite sweet, mildly tart. The simple dialled down version of Boon’s Oude Krieks.

6+ years have gone into this Oude Geuze thus far. Only another 18 left before it expires. Lovely beer. A little bitterness.

Best before 09/07/2040. Love these lambic-teers. Has a bit of a lime cordial undertone to the acetic tart oakey layers. Would love to actually start putting some of these away to drink in the Roaring Forties.

Another excellent Boon Kriek. Tart, dry and oakey. Cherry, hint of vanilla.

A dry raspberry sour. Nectar like texture. I get a little apricot.

A boozy sweet nectar. Weird and delicious.

Pretty beer, especially in a nice glass. I like a ‘wine’ pour. Fine long-lasting lace. Smells cheesy. Super dry, funky/weird and elegant. Creamy and less bitter as it warms.

“This low- to medium-alcohol style is packed with darker malt flavors and a rich and oily body from oatmeal.” Well... almost. Big thicc 12% imperial. Sweetness balanced by texture and dark bitter roasty cacao. Yum.
