Lots of cocoa then roasty bourbon. Tasty for tenth anniversary.

Like much better aged than in 2020. Warming not booozy, more cocoa, hints of raisin and anise.

Boozy smokey caramel, hints at a peaty Scotch whisky.

Blind tasting, this & Willettized Stout 2020. Oh. Boy! No wrong choice. I took CBS for the chocolate. K took Willittized, longer complex profile. If patient you'll get coconut as it fades.

2022 Santa Beers #10: the nose! Like I shoved a piece of milk chocolate up my nostril. Big roasty chocolate profile with slightly bitter chocolate linger. At 8 yrs a solid stout with a phenomenal nose.

Huge KBS nose is unmistakable; boozy, espresso tasty but both of us prefer the more balanced KBS version.

Coffee has mellowed since last year. Creamy chocolate roast flavors.

Big roasty bourbon, and fairly prominent coffee that mellowed but didn't fade as much as is usual. In taste test picked the CBS 2019.

Blind tasting, this & KBS 2019. I picked this, K the KBS (there is NO wrong choice). CBS has such a complex profile now, it's a journey ending with huge dark roasty cocoa and alcohol burn. Love it.

2021 vintage: About a year ago was way unbalanced with mostly CINNAMON! Now mellowed a bit, getting better balance. Still get plenty of the warming burn of the 12%.

Still big but thin, surprised at how much coffee is there, usually that mellows by now. Fading chocolate accentuates it.

Nitecap. Still robust, creamy, really getting the chocolate.

Advent Beer #3: Big coffee nose. Profile mostly just coffee, hint of vanilla, bourbon finish. If you like intense coffee beer here you go.

I LIKE cinnamon, and this is too much for me. Totally out of balance. All the KBS flavors I love - cocoa, coffee, roasty oak - are dominated by the cinnamon. Had with a regular 2019 KBS which made it even clearer.

Wow, a NA beer that actually tastes like beer. A slightly tart lemony wheat beer. Too much lemon but very drinkable.

Thinner than I remember. Roasty caramel and alcohol in the finish the same. Boozy good.

More regular American IPA than hazy juice bomb. Tasty for the low price point.

Really smoothed out version after 5-ish years but still delightful. Deep dark fruit cocoa nose. Original 12.4% burn and coffee almost gone. Still a big f'n tasty brew.

Definite chocolate nose. Big roasty flavors, a bit boozy, very warming.

BB aged and at 9.2% puts this between it's Porter classification and desert stout. Very tasty with subdued maple and vanilla flavors and not too sweet.

Nice juicy fruit mix, definitely pineapple notes. Really smooth mouthfeel.

2016 vintage. Coffee nearly all gone now but lots of slightly bitter roasty cocoa in the nose & profile.

OK but definitely past prime. Very mild nose, some cocoa, finish tastes like alcohol.

A big ass 750 ml. Lots of the complex chocolate roast coffee flavors KBS is known for but really smoothed out. Not the knock out it was a year or two ago.

Pretty yummy, still a big robust roasty bourbon flavor.

Big robust barrel aged flavors in a brown. - from last night

Boozy coffee nose, nice. Profile thin, boozy coffee, hint of unsweetened cocoa in finish. Both agree not up to usual expectation.
