Been waiting for this to show up here. Snuck out of work to pick some up, and ending my work day with it. The blueberry is prominent and tart, with little sweetness. It kinda masks the barrel aging a bit, but very enjoyable. Cheers to Friday!
Getting an aroma and taste of dark fruit; mostly raisins. Such a distinct barrel aged taste. Taste of sherry at the back end gives it a bit of dryness.
Aroma of chocolate. What I expect from a brown ale. Getting the coffee and vanilla hints as well. Not a lot of barrel, but very tasty. Glad I got an extra one to share with my son, Steven G.!
Pretty good. Not getting much bourbon barrel aged taste, but the maple and vanilla come through. Sweet but not too much. And as far as claws go, at only 9.2%, these are baby claws. So yes, a cub.
Roasty smell, tastes of chocolate fudge, coffee and slight maple. They seemed to make all these flavors come through without being overly sweet. And smooth as hell.
