This was an interesting one. No adjuncts but a long boil add a lot of character to this imp milk stout. Roast had lot of chocolate/cocoa powder notes. Big dark fruit notes underneath, raisiny. Lactose was there but this didn’t go really sweet. Not bad

Nana’s beer but it was too boozy for her. It is a boozy 13% but the sweetness makes it very smooth. Almost has a bit of a fig or date flavor to me. I won’t shed a tear for this until it’s gone.🤣

Bottled in 2016. Pitch black, no head. Smells boozy and sweet. Taste is cloyingly sweet. Finish isn't overly dry, despite the ABV. Aftertaste sneaks up on you with terrific coffee flavor. Perhaps not one to age, wish I had a fresh bottle to compare.
