Chocolate & vanilla on the nose. Vanilla upfront on the palate. Medium bodied, dark toasted malts, earthy, woody/drying finish.

A lot of cacao, some bourbon, but I’m not getting much of anything else. Appreciate that it doesn’t get too sweet as it warms. Good but I expected more from this.

Met het heerlijke ‘My hunningcage is better than yours’ in het achterhoofd weet ik dat To Øl heerlijk bier kan maken. Dit is ook weer heerlijk met alles wat ik graag wil; dik, alcoholisch, barrel aged, zoetig en romig. Niet voor de hele avond!

To øl does a lot of interesting beers, this one not excluded. It has a more dark amber color, similar to a barley wine, and it's not thick. It has rich, deep and complex flavors and hides the ABV well. Cocoa, coffee, hazelnut and vanilla.

this is one elegant pastry.. not oversweet, plenty of bourbon booziness on the nose. velvety smooth and so well-balanced. the cocoa and hazelnut are there but mash together for a wonderful pastry sweetness. no 🎆 but an xlnt Sunday sipper. 4.60
