Final day of the US open and the search of the house for alcohol has led me to the stash of dark beers from the now cancelled beer52 subscription #RIP. Not much going on here.

Really enjoyed this pastry stout. One of the few beers from Beer52 that I'd actually like to have another go at.

Subtle vanilla and smooth dark coffee flavours.

Nice stout. Not groundbreaking but still very nice. Little hint of vanilla.

Lovely smooth vanilla aroma on pour and good head retention. On taste is is just as smooth too. A real vanilla cream pastry/ice cream flavour with a slight smokiness makes this very pleasurable. Not too artificial. Medium mouthfeel. Hits the remit well.

Quite nice tbh. Fruity burnt flavours and doesn’t suffer from the curse of the can too badly

This comes alive late at night, just like a drunken regret

One for the sweet tooth lovers. Pretty decent actually and just the right amount (330ml can)

Very different but delicious! Lovely session pastry stout, vanilla hint at the end was perfect. Extra 0.25 for the minimalistic can design!

Nice richly flavoured stout. Malty choco-coffee notes and vanilla all come through and the mouthfeel is silky smooth.

Decent enough but it was more chocolate cake than pastry. Quite creamy

Good beer to accompany the acorn and squirrel theory in the virtual pub.

Sweet, milky, roasty, vanilla. Some bitterness on the finish, enough to start the old lips-smackin'.😃 This is really good if nothin' startlingly original. Enjoyable doesn't necessarily mean off-the-wall or "never been seen before". Nice end of the day'er
