Winbic is a blend between a Spontan Ale and a Saison. The aroma is of a mild spicy impression. With acidic apples, cloves and a sweetness similar to dried apricots. It’s slightly bitter, the kind of bitter you know from lemon peels. It also has a slight lactic touch. The saison is present in the notes of white pepper and mild spices. Thetaste starts off with the attributes of the saison. The flavor is like the one from oxidized apples, almost like what you can find in certain ciders. Thereafter your palate feels the sourness and the lactic taste which appear very refreshing and drinkable. The finish is dry and a bit bitter.
