Game of Thrones - Direwolf Brigade Pale Ale

Pale Ale - American

Heed the call from House Mikkeller! Here’s a House Stark reminder that Summer is coming… Well it’s already here and with it comes a HBO Game of Thrones collab, forged in the brewing halls of House Mikkeller which is packed full of incredible hop flavours and aromas! Direwolf Brigade uses Merkur, Simcoe and Citra hops to bring aromas of pine and citrus, and the hoppy flavours of pineapple, grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus kicks which you come to expect from a Mikkeller juicy pale. Throw that on top of a grain bill of Maris Otter and Pale Malt and you’ge got yourself a perfectly balanced beer chock full of flavour.

Very drinkable pale ale, almost pilsner in taste, at 4% an easy drinker and will be handy when the garden dries out a bit and I’m looking a quencher after some gardening.

Just been fleeced by the local optician - as usual - and still have the mental images of that match last night. So beer is the answer and the keg is there waiting.

A lovely malty and sweet pale ale - barely a hint of bitterness and extremely drinkable.

Out of date keg on the PD I forgot about in the shed. Still tastes decent and hasn’t deteriorated. Still disappointed in this one from such a great brewery

Nice flavour but a bit wishy washy. Would be better with a slightly less watery feel to it.
