Lacked bite but maybe that’s due to it being past it’s prime

Mikkeller advent calendar #21 A Stout spiced with chili peppers. I love spicy food, but putting it in beer has never been my thing. The chili peppers are noticeable, but they are not scorching. I can’t get the sweet notes others are talking about.

Cool can, but the beer is so & so. Coffee stout with a spicy/chili finish. The chili doesn’t serve much purpose except the burn/heat in the Mouth (no worries, it is mild)

It lacks everything i expected. It’s weak on all accounts, spice/heat none, it’s dark in color not in flavor and tastes thin. It’s not strong at 6.5% or in taste. I’ll not buy again.
