I like maple syrup and French toast when they are the real thing, but in this beer these flavors are, as the young people say, extra, and I’m glad my friend & I split this 10 ounce pour!

As described, it does taste like French toast with a hint of cinnamon a little sweeter than I like but still good.

I smoked the glass with my fancy shmancy cocktail smoker, then poured this.... Holy dayum! So good.

Definitely get the maple syrup cinnamon contribution to me. It’s a little bit overly sweet I don’t know what I expected.

Outstanding maple flavor. Pancakes, err. French toast in a bottle.

This is pretty good. Sweet. It's sweet. It's mapley and good and sweet. I'm not usually a maple fan, but this is good. Can't really taste the bourbon barrel.

The only thing I can figure is I can’t get past the flavor of the triple dog brown I just had. This wee heavy is dark and roasty, but not overly sweet. No real syrup flavor either. A but if cinnamon but I expected a lot more from a founders brew.

Was afraid it would be too sweet but it was actually pretty balanced.

What the French, toast?! How in the world did they do that?! This beer tastes so much like French toast I feel like my fingers should be sticky with syrup and powdered sugar is all over EVERYTHING. Considering how stout it is it’s very smooth & enjoyable.

This is, IMNSHO, not an improvement on Backwoods Bastard, which use pretty neat perfect. Cloyingly sweet, and overpowers the flavor of a food beer.
