French Toast Bastard

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy

Backwoods Bastard gets the 4-star breakfast treatment. Our bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale is introduced to maple syrup, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla for a decadent brunch-inspired sipper. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?

Single digit weather and I’ve been waiting for this release. On the nose lost of spice and bread. I like the easy mouthfeel. Sweet but approachable. Pairing with a cookie from Crumbl I feel like diabetes is setting in. 😝🍻👌🏿

It’s good but is soooo sweet, like drinking a bottle of maple syrup with butter

Unreal. This has the bread and malty taste with a little sweetness on the back end. Tastes just like French toast in a bee from. The scotch ale gives the traditional caramel notes. Would have many more.

Not sure Kroger should be serving this as a pint. Makes shopping fun after you have a couple.
