Backwoods Bastard gets the 4-star breakfast treatment. Our bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale is introduced to maple syrup, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla for a decadent brunch-inspired sipper. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?

Wow the nose is pure breakfast/dessert goodness. Taste is a touch artificial but it works although I think this would be better in a stout. Vanilla and cinnamon goodness. The adjuncts are so strong that the barrel flavor gets a little lost. But..its great

Agree with most of my friends check-ins on this one…this is SSSWWWEEEEEETTT!!! Good, but definitely gotta sip it slow to avoid the sugar shock

Exactly as advertised but has an artificial maple flavor - if I'm wrong, then I'll admit it, but that's just what I'm tasting

I love the smell, it's probably better aged. I couldn't do a full glass, but an ounce in a pint of oatmeal stout was awesome.

This bastard cancels his gym session. We reward him by letting him choose the next beer. Of course he chooses The Bastard.

Excellent. Smells of cinnamon sweet alcohol, but tastes like liquid French toast with a dry finish. Can’t tell it’s 11.1%. Paired beautifully with the featured course of Apple Crisp with Cinnamon Ice Cream.

Heavy on the maple. Slightly boozy. Definitely can’t wait to see how it is when it’s put away for a year or two

This was very original and quite tasty. The vanilla and maple flavour definitely outweigh the cinnamon
