This has seemingly started it’s backwards decent as it has lost a lot of its flavor profile. Still have a nice boozy front and nose and a touch of coffee on the backend. But that’s about all there is.

Not nearly enough maple. Chocolate tastes like cocoa powder used in baking instead of velvety chocolate that melts in your mouth. Also the is absolutely no Bourbon flavor here. It's a Stout yes, but a terrible CBS for me. One caveat is that it's cold.

Most of the maple is gone but what's left is rich. Not bad but it's still old

Out of the 3 year vertical, the 2017 is far & away the champ. The ‘19 doesn’t know what it wants to be. Neither the maple barrel nor the coffee stand out. It’s all chocolate & caramel malt.

Thought this would age better a the source. Not awful, but it definitely didn’t get better.

Definitely coffee in the sip, and the coffee lingers through the drink and after, so that's nice. Pretty sweet, as usual for Stouts, but not

Aroma of chocolate and booze. Maple is subtle but sweetens it up. It got better as it warmed, at first I thought I had a stale bottle. Still, it didn't have the robustness of flavor that I expect from Founders

Great subtle. Extremely solid pour and disappointing it’s no longer produced. Doesn’t blow my socks off with flavor or uniqueness but a very solid pour. Not a lot of maple coming through.

Staat iets beter dan de 2017, maar is ook een beetje dun geworden qua smaak. Nog wel wat goede bitters naast het zoet, veel koffie en caramel
