A little boozy on the backend, but the maple and dark roasty Impy flavors are still there. Compared to other aged Impy-based Stouts, the Founders variants seem best if drunk within 2 years; no more... they begin to fall off after that!

Back to back with 2018 KBS. Heavier. Sweet. Definite syrup sweetness. This has an appeal, but KBS might be the winner on balance.

Booze and coffee on the nose. Maple sweet, coffee, creamy mouth feel and chocolate flavours. A really well make imperial stout. I don't know if the ageing is helping it. I remember the fresh batchs has more maple on the aroma and flavour.

Ça passe crème 👌 Je m'attendais à plus de gras. Un bon gros chocolat amer avec une pointe de café, le sirop d'érable assez discret amène un petit effet mokatine. Mais ça reste assez sec quand même. 😋
