Marvelroast

Golden Ale

Take in the wonder that is the marvelous – ahem – “marvelroast” new addition to our coffee beer lineup. We started with an imperial golden ale and brewed it with coffee, vanilla and cocoa nibs. But it doesn’t end there, folks. Milk sugar added during the brewing process lends a smooth and sweet finish, making this a delicious treat reminiscent of your favorite iced coffee drink.

Sweeter then I expected, robust flavors of coffee, cocoa nibs, vanilla, caramel, and burnt grains.

Creamy. Vanilla possibly marshmallow notes stand out the most. Next caramel followed by some chocolate roasty coffee notes. Sweet and smooth.

Nice ale that starts with a solid vanilla nose. Smooth with some coffee tastes.

Coffee on the nose and vanilla/coffee is dominant for the profiles, but finishes sweet.

Okay 👌 got a nice solid body with a soft touch of vanilla and oak I think. Kind of like a white stout. Can't taste much coffee

An imperial golden ale woth cocoa nibs vanilla and lactose sugar. Its very sweet at first taste and carries a body of coffee and vanilla. A fun drink in a good pub eating good food.

Marvelroast has the same founders flavor profile that I love in their stouts but I don’t feel like it translated as well into an ale. Personally would reach for a breakfast stout over this if I had the choice.

Interesting... Cocoa nibs in a golden ale. Like a smooth vanilla cream soda. Or nilla wafer
