Yeah 2017 anybody saving them, go ahead and drink them. Coffee stouts get a little bitter.

Just a run of the mill Breakfast stout from Chicago Jewels. Comparing side by side against a 2022. The 2017 has a much more oaky bourbon smell even though not barreled. Carbonation has mellowed a lot, coffee almost gone. 2022 creamy and carbonated

Forward with the black coffee, just undertones of the chocolate, and the oatmeal is taking a little bit of a backseat, it’s really good, and you can literally pick out each flavor individually, very well sewn together. And the bitterness is spot on for me

Well COVID stopped our annual tradition of Breakfast Stout Breakfast at Founders so we decided to do our own (and postpone it a year). Cheers!

Late Breakfast stout! Lost bottles in a box stashed in the cold room for a few years. It held the road very well. Still tons of dark chocolate and coffee. Very impressed on how good this 4 year old + beer has become!

4.4. Bottled 8-25-17. Found in the back of the pantry tonight. Flavors are all still there, but mellowed slightly
