Imperial Stout (2014)

Stout - Russian Imperial

Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley, this stout is smooth as silk, yet complex and rich in body. Serve this guy at cellar temperature. Put another log on the fire, sit back and enjoy the friendship of this ultimate winter warmer.

Wooooow! This is AMAZING! Matured for over 5 years in my beercellar. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, soy sauce, dried fruit, vanilla, brown sugar, syrup, raisin, espresso and a little smoke. Smooth and surprisingly easy drinking! Full body, light carb.

"The songs of the past bring back memories of you, Forever they will haunt me but what can I do. Those oldies but goodies" 🎸🎷🎶 Silky, toasty malty flavors, still bitter as hell...better @ cellar temperature recommended...I see why

Not one of the best to age well. Just not as flavorful as it used to be. Rating is historical since it's my fault I waited too long.

This beer just holds up really well with age. Smoky, roasty, bitter cocoa nibs with a dry finish.

Bottled 12/15/14. Solid imperial stout. No adjuncts, no barrels. Just a straight solid stout. Good roasted/smokey character in the back. A bit of bitter chocolate as well.

B. F. 5/10/2015. Choklad, rostad malt och torkad frukt i doften och smaken. Lite som 50/50 Stout och Barley Wine. Gott.

Last couple of the 2014s. Still smooth, but losing body and barely any carbonation left. Enjoying a calm Lake Superior beach

Wow, lucky to stumble onto this. Aging has mellowed this into a smooth brew, maybe a bit too smooth.
