Rosé de Gambrinus (2019)

12/11 bottle. Was expecting high acidity, but got a winner. Low-moderate acidity, fresh raspberries.

11-28-17. Not a great bottle. Vinegar trumps the cherry pie

Rosé de Gambrinus (2016)

Drank really nicer for a somewhat older bottle. Still lots of fruit, some nice fruit presence still, and moderately low acidity

Racine (2021)

Unique. Heavy white grapes, moderate acidity, odd finish. I am curious how this one evolves over many years, but tastes too young at the moment.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2017)

11-20-17. Still a lot of fruit, but obviously has dissipated some. Low to moderate acidity which is nice on an aged RdG, but not much funk/depth.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

It’s a bit thin and not very complex, but it’s better than I expected and I enjoyed a 4 oz pour

World Wide Stout (2009)

Very smooth for the abv. Barleywine’ish

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2013)

12/21/13. Fine, but not amazing. Heavy funk, oak, tea, lemon, cat piss, chlorine.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2017)

1-12-17 bottle. Not the cherry pie flavor like a lot of bottles as fruit was pretty subdued. Some funk. Low acidity. Good bottle but not a standout

Rosé de Gambrinus (2015)

5/20/15 375. I’m usually not a fan of older RdG (although I have too many), but this is great. Tons of fruit, decent funk, low acidity. Boom

Iris (2007)

Stonefruit (mostly apricot) mixed with basement, bleu cheese funk. Pretty cloudy and thicker than expected. Unique.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2010)

Not as complex as the Iris. Nice peach gummy ring nose. Comes through in flavor more subtle than expected. Has some funk, but not as complex as you may expect for a decade old. Drank much lighter than the Iris

Backwoods Bastard (2016)

Final additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. This is my 40th additional turd bottle. 9 of them have been Backwoods Bastard, which slightly edges KBS for most additional turds. 340 total. Covid wasn’t even a common term when this started. Final turd 🍻

Pearl Jam Twenty Faithfull Ale

Coronavirus cellar turd day #297. Duplicate turd bottle #33. I actually don’t mind this beer. Rating increased as better than a lot of current soup IPAs. Turd fact of the day: the average turd abv was 11.4%. JFC. 3 more turd days to go

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4%

Additional coronavirus cellar turd. Last KBS in the cellar. Drank 8 additional KBS coronavirus cellar turds, although feels like more. This particular vintage Is so much better than the metallic 2018.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018)

Additional coronavirus cellar turd. Thankfully, have almost drained the cellar of KBS. This newer vintage sucks more than most.

120 Minute IPA (2014)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #290. Bottled 2/17/14. This is really similar to the recent 2013 bottle I had. Completely different than the 2012 and 2016 vintages. 10 more turd days left! Thanks to You're Fragile for consuming a few oz of this :)

Some nice funk. Apricot from the yeast heavily present on the nose. Some bitterness lingering on the finish

Additional coronavirus cellar bottle. 16 days to finish the additional turd bottles. Woof.

Framboise Boon (2008)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #283. Had no clue what to expect from this one. Ended up being very different than anticipated. Tastes like fresh raspberry juice/soda. A tad sour, no acidity, no funk. Pretty sweet. Good fruit. Extremely young lambic.

Backwoods Bastard (2016)

Additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. Got to kill these 12 oz bottles in the next 23 days 😞. More enjoyable than the 18 KBS

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018)

Additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. I dinged this a good bit from my last additional turd bottle as it is just far below the 16 black note I just had. Thin body, bitter, and a metallic finish just isn’t a good combo.

World Wide Stout (2013)

Coronavirus cellar turd day # 272. Bottled 12/11/13. Definitely more into barleywine territory. Glad I only found 1 of these......unfortunately many 120 minute. Chocolate, molasses, dark fruits. Still very boozy.

Backwoods Bastard (2015)

Additional coronavirus cellar turd bottle. Pretty similar to the last few bottles I had of this vintage. Moderate oxidation trumps all else......lots of floaties in this bastard.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #262. Duplicate turd #27. Pretty damn good and similar positive experience to turd day #204. This has slightly more bitterness in the finish than I remembered, but otherwise pretty consistent. Have 1 bottle left - do I save 🤔

Frootwood (2017)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #253. 1-10-17. Not for me, very sweet, reminiscent of a fruity wine cooler. Sort of tastes like robitussin with a little maple syrup drizzled on top. Wanted an easy turd prior to zoom share tonight, but not going down easily

Lizard of Koz (2016)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #179. This was super sweet fresh, and has died down a bit, but still pretty damn sweet. Thin body. It does taste like chocolate covered blueberries, but there is something I really don’t enjoy about this one. Thankful not 20%.

Blushing Monk (2015)

Coronavirus cellar turd day #152. This is still insanely sweet, even after 5 years. Raspberry flavor is pretty spot on though and dmI don’t taste any signs of age. Hides the abv well. Reminds me a little of an Answer juice.
