Zero carbonation left. Absolute liquid rocket fuel. As told, more bitter than expected. Malty backbone. Really interesting red wine qualities. Alcohol shines but in a very subdued way. Bittersweet.

The end of an era. The thankless task of thinning out the basement fridge inventory to make the move a bit easier results in the emptying of my final Rick’s bottle. Rick’s was my go to store during Alexandria, VA visits. A fine 2009 vintage. $8.99.

Had this before but not 13 years older. Sips like a shot of chocolate, coffee, kind of a pruny flavor. So complex and amazing

Wow, by far the oldest bottle of beer I have ever had at about 13 years old. Zero carbonation left, very syrupy, no hip flavor, tannins, a wine like flavor with some bourbon and molasses and vanilla type sweetness. Mellow. An experience

Beer 5 of the 12 Beers of Christmas. Still solid. These age so well.

Booziest of the 3. Dark fruit. Great series, thanks Andy W.

CraftHaus bottle share. Soy/molasses stout with some sweetness. I barely remember this ancient year.

Boozy and sweet, fruity complex flavors. Aged really well. Thanks for sharing Greg!

11 years old! I hadn't even been working with BA for a full year yet when this was bottled. Crazy. Time has been REALLY kind to this beer though. Holy cow. This is the silkiest 15% stout I have ever had. Legendary

Starting big with BellinghamBeerOtter with this one. Still sort of syrupy, with a bit of a maple thing going on. The bitterness has subsided a bit, but the roasty malt flavour lasts and lasts. Glad I have some others to share this with, at 15%.
