Surprisingly good. I usually don’t enjoy brown ales, but I think anything barrel aged and high ABV comes out ok.

The coffee overpowers the other flavors. I would like to sample an imperial, barrel-aged brown with little to no coffee.

As a coffee beer it has to be my favorite, Founders really puts together well crafted beers. That ABV ...phew!!

Deze was nog over van de Beery christmas van vorig jaar... en wat voor een! Donker, met een rijke koffie En chocoladesmaak. Zwaar, maar zeker niet te heftig. Ik houd ervan!

De smaak is mooier dan de moersleutel, maar de afdronk is veel korter.

Lots of coffee flavor and bourbon with it too. Very boozy and at 11.9% ABV, this is a beer to knock your socks off

Medium dry rich touch booze caramel. Pretty good for brown’s place on the spectrum

Chocolate on the nose with a good hints of nutmeg. Good chocolate taste with a good undetone of nutmeg.

You can smell the bourbon, but the alcohol presence is fairly mild. Chocolate malt flavor is definitely there, but not extreme.
