Coffee and chocolate. You can definitely taste the barrel, but it doesn’t overpower the beer.

Can definitely smell the lactose. Hoppy and creamy with a bit of sweetness from the lactose, but not too much. Very nice.

Tastes boozy with vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Very good and rich.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018) King
Can definitely smell a little syrup. Definite maple syrup any with the bourbon. Sweet and boozy with the syrup taste lingering a bit.

This has a strong hoppy taste, which may have been exacerbated by the Halloween candy I ate before drinking it.
