BOOZY, chocolatey, dark and heavy. Dizzyingly sweet and malty.

This year dipped back a bit, malts completely masked by the bourbon, very little coffee

Not what I was expecting in a brown ale. A little to heavy and I don’t care for the hint of bourbon

2020 version. Lopsided brew with barrel outweighing base brown ale by large margin. Barrel notes are a treat however: tasty, creamy, sweet vanilla. Not getting any coffee, even as glass warms.

Doesn't really stand out from any other barrel aged stout except for the slightly stronger bitter coffee after taste.

Tastes okay. I was hoping for more of a coffee taste. I taste more of the bourban flavor in this beer.

Base beer overwhelmed. Nice barrel but not a brown. Needs malty biscuit.

If you have to drink coffee this is the way to do it. Malted coffee and sweetener.

Besviken. Onödig alkohol som inte värmer. Mest sunkig kaffesump. Inte dålig men absolut inte bra.

Heel bijzonder. Erg koffie zowel in geur als smaak. Zoete brown. Afdronk koffiebitter alcoholwarmend.

Let me start with... I am not a brown fan and this was a gift.....but....for a 12% brown this is surprisingly smooth! Molasses nose with a sweet alcoholic aftertaste.

Syrupy and quite scotch-ale-y. Not like a normal brown at all.
