Brown Ale - American

Hazelnut coffee-infused beer. The quintessential taproom "one-off" beer. Founders’ brewers created the Mountain Brown series for their taproom in Grand Rapids in 2007. It’s the 16th iteration in the series of popular brown ales and it likely won’t be the last. The singular characteristic of this beer comes from the use of hazelnut coffee in the brewing process. The beer has distinct aromatics with sweet and nutty flavors beautifully balanced.

Wow. Nuss und Kaffee in der Nase. Kaffee, Kakao und Haselnuss im Antrunk. Zur Mitte leichte Röstaromen und zunehmend malzig. Cremig. Der Abgang dann eher unspektakulär. Etwas Säure.

Nut brittle on the nose with a hint of coffee roast and caramel. Medium body with little carbonation. Decent hazelnut sweetness up front reminiscent of Nutella with the malts providing a brown bread quality. Bitter coffee bite on the finish. Solid. B+
