Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2013)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

As expected, didn’t hold up well. Still lots of chocolate, but badly oxidized/flat

KBS and CBS are my favorite beers, and 2013 was one of my favorite vintages. After this bottle, my collection now has two each of '13, '14, and '15. For me, the major flavor is cocoa (which I think many identify as coffee), as well as Bourbon and coffee.
