It looked like pouring syrup into the glass. Thick and dark! Super rich flavor, chocolate espresso and a hint of bourbon. Great sipping beer.

Darn good brew as to be expected with a KBS. Smooth, full body with loads of coffee. Still rather hot though, it would do well with some time on it. Oh darn guess I’ll have to hang on to the others.

Paired with 100% cacao, which made us appreciate the richness of this one! Hard to tell through the booziness whether coffee or chocolate is the stronger flavor. This is a solid one, but I like other Founders stouts even more!

Ervaring leert bij de gewone KBS dat er elke vintage toch kleine nuances zijn. Altijd net wat anders. Deze dus de '20 versie, de eerste,' 19 versie, nooit gehad dus kan hier geen oordeel over verschillen vellen.
