A friend gave this to me for Christmas. It’s aged well, still get plenty of barrel and the coffee. Cheers, everyone 🍻

Espresso is upfront and tasty, but it drowns out the softer notes that set this base stout apart.

Always a good one, in this version it is even more coffeish. On nose it has a strong aroma of roasted espresso beans with some cocoa notes. Creamy and oily texture with a rich and complex flavor, full body, strong coffee taste but never overlying.

It is what it is. I liked it better fresh. Aged 14 months…much more espresso bean-y now and thinner. Maybe I should have waited longer?

This has smoothed out nicely over the past year. Great flavors of chocolate, vanilla, Bourbon and Espresso.

Extra coffee is always good. Smells of green coffee that’s not roasted. Rich barrel aged flavors with an extra addition of rich espresso. Smoothed out since the last one on initial release.

Yum. Super roasty from the espresso and very smooth. No traces of 12% here. Drinkable and delicious on a cold night.

A day late but a happy belated to the mighty Kirby D. ! Seemed appropriate to pop this liquid bottle of “no sleep for you!” Deep + roasty espresso vibes that feels like Salt Bae was wasted, grabbed the sugar vs the salt, and elbow dropped in this glass.
