Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

Fifty Percent

Bourbon nose with a hint of chocolate. Big Boy Bourbon pants on the front, it mellows to a sweet creamy light chocolate with a hint of coffee. Rich, thick, boozy but tasty. A good sipping stout.

Kept in fridge since purchase, booze has faded, flavors have not integrated well. Coffee is muted, faint chocolate malt and oak barrel. 2019 was great in comparison. LCI.
